  • 2 Oz Tequila Best tequila for spicy margaritas: reposado or blanco
  • 3/4 Oz Hot Honey Syrup
  • 3/4 Oz Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1/2 Oz Orange Liqueur Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • Agave Nectar Optional for extra sweetness
  • Ice Cubes
  • Tajin or Chili Powder For rimming
  • Lime Wedge For Garnish
  • Fresh Jalapeno Slices Optional for extra heat

Instructions
 

  • Combine honey, hot water and red pepper flakes in a saucepan over low heat.
  • Stir until fully combined and let it simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.
  • Strain out the pepper flakes and store in an airtight container.
