Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Canned Full-Fat Coconut Milk
  • 1 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • A Pinch Salt

  • Add to saucepan: In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of canned coconut milk and 1 cup of granulated sugar.
  • Heat and stir: Place the pan over medium heat. Stir constantly until the sugar fully dissolves into the coconut milk.
  • Simmer gently: Let the mixture simmer lightly for about 10 minutes. Avoid boiling to maintain a smooth texture.
  • Add flavor (optional): Add ½ tsp of vanilla extract and a pinch of salt for a deeper flavor.
  • Cool it: Remove the pan from the heat and let the syrup cool completely. It will thicken a bit as it cools.
  • Strain (optional): For a smoother texture, strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve to remove any coconut solids.
  • Store: Pour the homemade coconut syrup into a clean glass bottle or jar. Store it in the fridge for up to 2–3 weeks.
