- 1 Cup Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Whole Cloves
- 1 Cinnamon Stick or Strip of Orange Peel
Combine water and sugar in a small saucepan.
Add whole cloves (and optional spices if using).
Heat over medium, stirring until sugar dissolves.
Simmer gently for 8–10 minutes to infuse flavor.
Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Strain out spices and pour syrup into a clean jar.
Store in the fridge for 2–3 weeks or freeze in cubes.
